And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment
Hebrews 9:2
In the KJV, "and he died," in some form is written seventy-six times. Last month a former, well known, military leader died. His passing was well publicized and his accomplishments in this life were many. His eulogy reminded me of the obituary of an acquaintance who died several years ago. His obituary covered almost a full page in the newspaper. He, too, accomplished much in his life time, some of which were done in the name of the Lord. However, I thought it odd there was no mention of his spiritual condition...did he know the Lord, was he born again?
When it is said of me, "and she died," I want my obituary to simply state, "she knew the Lord, walked with Him and has gone to be with Him through all eternity!" What a glorious day that will be!
